1.WE CHECK YOUR DETAILS

When the secretary receives an application she reviews it to ensure that the applicant meets the eligibility requirements for a scholarship and has provided all the required information including answering all the questions on the form. The application is not considered if these requirements are not met.

2. TRUSTEES REVIEW APPLICATIONS

The trustees review and rate the applications and then meet to moderate their assessments and decide on that years recipients.

3. FINAL DECISION

The trustees decision is final and no feedback is given on applications.

4. DOCUMENTS ARE DESTROYED

Your application forms, references, transcripts and any other documents provided in support of your application are destroyed by the secretary and the trustees after the scholarships have been awarded for the year. Some contact and study details are retained in an electronic file for research and evaluation purposes.

5. IF YOUR APPLICATION IS SUCCESSFUL

The contact and study details of successful applicants will also be shared with the treasurer of the Trust and their local Soroptimist club to arrange for the presentation of the scholarship. The first name, course and place of study and a short bio of successful scholarship recipients are notified to all clubs and published on our website and social media sites.
